1.
They say that a man is not what he claims to be Or at least that’s the way it seems to me these days And he faces the wall because there’s nowhere else to look So maybe it’s time for everyone else to also take a look And he knows what he does isn’t right for anyone And he leads you on each time that you will come So I ask for a chance again to be what I need to be And I’ll stay where I am until he goes away from me I’ll stay where I am until he goes away from me Now my mission is done
2.
Run Alone 05:04
You’re not alone I’ve been here before And I’ve seen That nothing is fair And you are not that bad So I’ll try to understand I’ll run away And I’ll leave you behind A worthless chase To nowhere at all 'Cause I've heard That nothing is through And you are not that bad So I’ll try to understand Yes, I will try to understand And I will run alone
3.
You were there that night You remember what you did And I’m not the same every time that you let me down So I'll let you go And I’ll realize what you’ve done For everyone's looking 'round just to see what you've got Well, I've never seen anyone that could move me like this And I've never been around long enough to see what I've missed And I want you to know that I'll be there when you die And I'll see to that So ask what you've loved And it's righteous Yes, it's righteous You are not my god I said, you are not my god Well, I'll be there when you die I will see your dying day
4.
My world is two places at once While I stand, I am drifting away Everything’s too damn hard today So, I’ll favor the truth over any Misfortune in pleasures with you I’ll be led to the sun But I know I’m lost I can’t remember my own feet In full night We lie apart Connected by only the dark Please try Put your fingers on mine And then we can look for our hands If everything changed at once You’d be lying in flowers with me But the light would be too damn bright for your eyes So, I’ll favor the truth over any Misfortune in pleasures with you I’ll be led to the sun But I know I’m lost I can’t remember my own feet In cold night We lie apart Connected by only the dark Please try Just give me your hand And I will give over my mind But if everything changed at once You’d be dreaming my dream But the light would be too damn bright for your eyes So, I’ll favor the truth over any Misfortune in pleasures with you I’ll be led to the sun But I know I’m lost I can’t remember my own feet

Fall To Find 06:00
What you were to me Wasn’t right for you So, I’ve left to find out everything It’s not a game for me to play anymore So, trust yourself And you’ll find that nothing’s wrong As long as you’re here with me And you’ll fall to find The last thing that’s true And I know I’ll be here everyday Just to see that you’ll apologize For what you’ve done to me I’m not afraid to see that time So, stay the same each day And let me into your mind Then I will see what is there And you’ll fall to find The last thing that’s true What was right for you? All that was is gone. So, trust yourself And find out that everything Is just a lie to figure you into it all And you’ll fall to find The last thing that’s true If not here, then there you’ll find me lying in the sound
6.
Once More 03:24
I can’t count the times I’ve fallen on my face And I still promised that I’d see you again Simple patterns in my memory aren’t enough I need borders, but I don’t even try But I’m not that small I can open my eyes If just to make yours close once more Well, I don’t know what you are feeling now But I will stay with you until the day I die I will hold you ‘til you push me away And even then I will still be ‘round But I’m not that small I can open my eyes If just to make yours close once more Yes, I can open my eyes If just to make yours close
7.
I don’t need you now Now the pain is gone And I don’t remember who you were When I first knew you My mind is not here I think it’s nowhere now And all of the days That I’ve spent with you They’re all over now That we’re through Yes, we’ve seen all this before I’ll keep my head afloat You’re underneath me now But I don’t know why You had to make me go Away from you like this I know it’s not my fault And I’ll reach out again But I’ll feel right on my own Yes, I’ll feel right on my own
8.
Lonesome eyes still can see At night you breathe with me Facing toward our enemies We are fighting in our dreams Thanks to you all It’s a fine day for this to die It’s yours and it’s mine to break Don’t be shy As dawn unveils my pride There are no melodies left to write Only innocence will wait Fear is not our rightful fate Thanks to you all It’s a fine day for this to die It’s yours and it’s mine to break Don’t be shy
9.
Teach Me 05:50
I’ve seen this road so many times It’s the one that we can’t hide behind I know a signal is buried beneath our feet It’s there for us to read Teach me Free us all When the pain comes alive And teach me Though it’s easier said than done Yes, it’s easier wanted than won these days And animals aren’t all that strange They rise up in the morning and they wait For night to lead them through Shades of black where thoughts can swim Teach me Free us all When the pain comes alive And teach me Though it’s easier said than done Yes, it’s easier

about

Eschewing studio perfection, these nine songs of voice accompanied by acoustic guitar embrace the minimalism and rawness of early folk recordings. Yet the performances that are captured transcend their seeming plainness, with the picked and strummed chords of the acoustic guitar weaving a landscape of cavernous valleys and craggy peaks. A hawk lands on one of them and begins speaking in riddle and rhyme. “Simple patterns in my memory aren’t enough,” it says, “All that was is gone.”
